Meeting called to order at 12:25 P.M. by president Cynda
Solberg.
A motion was m/s/p approving December quarterly minutes.
Treasurers Report - Dean Helwig
Prior to the receipts and expenses for this quarterly meeting we have
balances of, $6,200.08 in our checking account and $6,191.25 in our CD account,
totaling $12,391.23.
Treasures report accepted.
Committee Reports
Vendor Expo - Chairperson Wallis Roberts (Dean Helwig)
Vendor Expo registration form is now on WAPP website.
Information has been sent to vendors who have participated in the past.
Public Relations - Chairperson Mary Lynn Siedl (Jackie Krawze)
- The two members with the most vendor participation get one free night
lodging and free admission to the September meeting.
Education - Chairperson Frank Draxler
- WAPP will sponsor NIGP Advanced Public Purchasing in full.
- Frank will send out a survey to determine the number of members interested
in taking a CPPB review class with a test to follow at the September
meeting.
- Members interested in home study courses will not receive a rebate from
WAPP.
- There was continuing discussion regarding the LEAP program and how the
profession would benefit.
Old Business
- Newsletters are now available in electronic form on the WAPP webpage.
Indicate on membership form as to how you would like to receive it.
Monica will set up. Electronic form is encouraged.
- Kim Nelson has accepted the responsibilities of historian and photographer for WAPP.
- Bylaws-Jim Fering recommended shortening the language in Article XI, Time
for Filing. Lee proposed to notify members via email or UPSP. m/s/p
New Business
- Frank Draxler spoke about details and costs of the LEAP Program that is
being produced by NIGP and suggested a vote on the amount that WAPP will
contribute at the December meeting. The Executive Committee will contribute
an initial $1000 to show support for the program. Much Discussion.
- Cynda Solberg asked the group to think about ways of raising revenue.
- An email will be sent to all members regarding online registration. Please
respond.
- Cindy Greco asked that we get up to date information on state contract
awards and changes. State may allow other agencies to piggyback on state
P-Card?
- Jim Fering suggests that committee chairs limit the number of members on
committees.
Newsletter deadline is April 16, 2003.
The next meeting to be hosted by Chris Wilmont of Spooner DNR on June 19th
and 20th with a location yet to be decided.
A motion m/s/p to adjourn 1:00 pm.
