Meeting Minutes:
December 6, 2002
Location: Madison, WI.

Meeting called to order at 10:45 A.M. by President Sharon Weeks.

A motion was m/s/p approving September quarterly minutes.

Treasurer Report - Steve Martinelli: Prior to the receipts and expenses for this quarterly meeting we have balances of, $7633.39 checking account and $6,191.25CD account, totaling $13,824.44.
Treasurers Report accepted.

Historian Office will become associated with the Office of Vice President.

Newsletter deadline January 20, 2003.

Committee Reports

An explanation of NIGP certification levels, the certification process and requirements was presented by Frank.

Nominations open, Scott Noffke and Kathy Jaglin nominated. Motion to close nominations, s/p. Ballot vote. Scott Noffke elected as our new officer.

Motion m/s/p to approve budget requests as printed in November 2002 Newsletter.

The following motion was made, s/p, to provide direction to the Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee will arrange for sending flowers or a plant whenever a current or active retired member dies. As a guideline, the amount for the flowers or plant should be approximately $30 adjustable for inflation.

The Executive Committee may also authorize a contribution from WAPP funds (to any memorials that maybe created) as a memorial to the deceased member. If the member or retiree was not active in the chapter, a memorial does not have to be authorized. The amount shall be determined at the discretion of the Executive Committee, but shall not exceed $100. Examples of factor for the Executive Committee should consider in making their decision include: being past or present officer, being a contributing committee member, regular attendance of meetings and/or seminars, being a meeting host, or other factors the committee feels are relevant in making the decision.
